Did I really just say table Linen?

In our house we have a dining room. Where we are supposed to all come together each night at 5:00 and enjoy a dinner made for 6. We talk about our day and tell each other how much we mean to one another. Unfortunately, we barely use it.

You will usually see us all eating around our island or in the living room vegging out in front of the television. I truly wish we used this room more because it surely feels inviting once the table linen is down..Oh my, Did I really just say table linen? What has become of me!

In all honestly, I wanted to share with you a couple pictures of my dining room in hopes of inspiring others who find their dining room a little drab and wanted a pick me up!

Now, my taste may be entirely different from yours and you may think mine already looks drab...to each their own right? What's good for some is not always good for others!

Here are my Dining Room Tips:

#1.  Find a table you Love.
Now, I know everyone can't afford to go buy a new table.
I am not telling you do that!
My suggestion would be to paint the one you ALREADY have or search online for a used one.
*My theory is that if you don't have a table you enjoy, you will never sit there.

#2. Paint the room a color that is calming and inviting to you.
I enjoy light colors and prefer things airy and open.
If your not sure what color you even like, look around at things you have bought in the past.
Is there a color that you tend to lean towards?

#3. Find the perfect Light Fixture to go over that new, improved table.
Let me make this clear. It does Not have to be expensive.
Look around for clearance light fixtures, check out rummage sales or search online.
Find what you are drawn too and look for that item at a great deal!

...I hope these tips were helpful to you!
